About Brems Eye Center

Your eyes deserve the best!

We provide the highest professional care for your eyes. We offer comprehensive services to take care of all your needs. From routine eye exams and glasses to diagnosis and treatment of diseases affecting the eyes. We have two convenient locations and a friendly personal staff to assist you.

Making Appointments

We see patients by appointment Monday through Friday; 8:30am to 5:00pm. Our receptionist is available daily to help you. Unless you have an emergency, it is best to call in the afternoon when our phones are less busy.

Eye appointments are of usually two types: Complete Exams and Treatments or Follow up visits. First visits may take up to two hours, so please allow ample time. Sometimes we use eye drops for your examination, which may briefly blur your vision (mostly for near vision) and make your eyes sensitive to light. Plan your visit accordingly, and arrange for someone to drive you home if needed.

We try our best to stay on schedule, although emergencies sometimes arise. If we are seriously delayed, we will try to notify you beforehand. Please assist us by being on time for your appointment.

Your Appointment

On your first visit, we will begin a permanent record. Bring your glasses and if you wear contacts, wear your lenses to your appointment. We will ask you to complete a brief medical history and a registration form. Please bring your insurance cards and/or Medicare card. Try to arrive a few minutes early for your first visit.

Canceling an Appointment

If you are unable to keep your appointment or are going to be late, please call as soon as possible. This courtesy allows us to be of service to other patients.

Insurance

Our office accepts most major insurance plans. If you have questions regarding your specific plan, please ask to speak to our insurance manager. Our office files all insurance forms at no cost to you. For services not covered by your insurance, payment is appreciated at the time of your visit.

Payments

We accept all forms of payments with cash, checks, credit cards, and debit cards. For surgical procedures we also have financing plans available.

24-Hour Service

If you notice any eye problems or have an emergency, please call our office immediately. Our answering service is in effect after office hours and will page Dr. Brems or the on call doctor.
